Jet setting on a Budget: Where I go to find the best Flight Deals!

A lot of people think that you need to be wealthy to travel, and that's simply not true. You've just been traveling wrong.
Most people travel with a particular place in mind and then a particular budget. So if their bucket list destination is too pricey, they either push their trip back or don't go.
What if I told you to throw out the notion of basing your vacation on a particular place but rather on a random deal?
My favorite flight deal site is skyscanner.com. Skyscanner literally scans every single site to find flights. The site gives you the option to plug in your city and set your destination to anywhere from the cheapest to the most expensive deals in the country and the world.
I love that option because it can allow you to visit a place you would have never thought to visit if you didn't see a deal. You can also put in a month instead of a particular date so you can see which day would be cheapest to fly.
For example, for my honeymoon, my heart was really set on going to an African country. However, with wedding expenses looming just two months before our wedding, we trusted old faithful Skyscanner and my husband and I were able to go to Thailand for $400 each round trip from here in New York City for our honeymoon instead. Was Thailand our first pick? No. However, keeping an open mind and hearing our friend rave about her trip there 9 months earlier really had us make the no-brainer decision to honeymoon in Thailand.
Another hack is seeing the dates of the cheaper flights on Skyscanner and then going to Expedia and looking for flight and hotel packages for the cheapest destinations. I was able to do a solo trip to Tulum for $400 roundtrip air and hotel, a trip to El Salvador with my husband for under $700, and Cartagena, Colombia for under $800 for our anniversary.
Here are my favorite sites to visit for flight deals!
